Welcome back to Lucid Voices and our Black history Makers series! Today we are honoring James Mitchell from Young Futures Inc. James Currently serves as the Young Futures Chief Visionary Officer. james is aso a father of three girls, a loving husband and great friend to all that comes his way.
James Mitchell is a dedicated community leader. he commenced his journey in career services and non profit sectors over 15 years ago. His goal was and is to enhance the skills and employability for adults. Facilitating transitioners into healthcare, construction, and technology industries to name a few, James has dedicated his life to helping others. Collaborating with employers, he revamped hiring practices, reducing turnover rates.
James founded Young Futures LLC in 2015. Young futures is a Social Enterprise offering innovative after-school programs to over 500 families. these programs provide programming for developing children's coping, communication, and leadership skills. In 2020, the program expanded to teach financial literacy, boosting the financial competency of over 300 children by 140%.

n human, So being a light to others, so when in places they feel unfamiliar they can look to me and the work I'm doing as guidance of a reference point." James states
